Main disadvantages: limited by the cable reel and its own weight, generally the cable cannot be too long, which is inconvenient to transport. It is also difficult to lay the cable that is too thick, which is not easy to bend. The current carrying capacity of the three core cable is smaller than that of the single core cable with the same section.

2. Advantages of single core cable: the same insulation layer is very easy to ensure, and it is not easy to cause interphase short circuit. The cable is relatively convenient to transport and lay. A coil of cable can be made very long, and the current carrying capacity of single core cable is large under the same cross section.

Defect: The cable itself cannot take the armored cable for safety protection, and the level of resistance to external force damage is weak.

For 10KV high-voltage cable, if the load is relatively large, and the current carrying capacity of the three core cable cross section cable cannot meet the requirements, the single core large section cable should be selected.
