Analyze The Use Of The Wire According To The Color Of The Electronic Wire
Mar 13, 2022
1. When ordering electronic wires or cables, the color of the wires must be indicated
In actual engineering, it is often found that the color of the wire in the electronic wire or cable does not meet the requirements. For some engineering three-phase lighting electronic wires, the three-phase wires have the same color; for some engineering single-phase three-core lighting cables, the wires have yellow, green and red. This is not allowed by the specification. Also, the remedy of wrapping ribbon around the wire should not be taken. Therefore, when ordering electronic wires or flat cables in a project, in addition to the type, the cross-section and color of the wire should also be indicated.
2. The color of the protective ground wire
The code states that yellow and green insulated wires should be used. "Should" means must, in general, yellow-green insulated wires must be used.

3. Neutral line color
The specification stipulates that the neutral wire should be light blue insulated wire. The meaning of "appropriate" is: use light blue first when conditions permit. In some countries, the neutral wire is white. If a building uses white as a homogenous line due to owner requirements, all neutral lines within the building should be white. If the color of the neutral wire is dark blue, then the color of the phase wire cannot be green, because in dim light there is not much difference between dark blue and green. At this time, when using a single-phase power supply, the phase wire color should be red or yellow.
4. Phase line color
Yellow, green and red should be used. Take a three-phase house as an example. When the three-phase power supply is introduced into the three-phase electric energy meter box, the phase wires should be yellow, green, and red three-phase wires; when the single-phase power supply is introduced into the single-phase electric energy meter box, the phase wires should be yellow, green, and red, respectively. The color of the phase wire of the three-core sheathed wire introduced from the single-phase electric energy meter box to the household distribution box does not need to be the same as the color of the incoming wire. Only when the user adopts a three-phase electric energy meter box, the color of the box wire of the three-phase electric energy meter box introduced into the household distribution box should be the same as the color of the phase line entering the three-phase electric energy meter box. The box wires entering the household distribution box in rooms 2-4 can be any one of yellow, green and red, because GB50258-96 only stipulates that when the wiring adopts polyphase wires, the color of the phase wires is required to be easy to distinguish. For example, when users in Room 2 lose power, the incoming line of the single-phase electric energy meter in Room 2 is red. As long as the red phase line entering the building is checked with an electroscope, the fault can be judged. Because GB50258-96 only stipulates that when polyphase lines are used for wiring, the colors of the phase lines are required to be easy to distinguish.
From the electricity meter box to the power distribution box of each household, the residential design code stipulates that the cross-sectional area shall not be less than 10mm2. If the color of the phase wire from the household distribution box to the single-phase electric energy meter box is the same as the color of the incoming line of the single-phase electric energy meter box, then the 10mm2 electronic wire must be purchased in three colors. Construction investment must be increased. If the construction is according to the drawings, you only need to buy a 10mm2 three-core electronic wire, one is a light blue neutral wire, one is a yellow-green two-color PE wire, and the third is any of the three colors of yellow, green, and red. One color line.
