What Is BV Cable?

For many home decoration cable consumers, they do not know the difference between bv wire and rv wire. These types of cable are different in terms of naming method, structure and scope of application. Let's know about bv wire and rv wire:

BV: cable copper wire PVC insulated cable is a single core wire of copper wire. It is also called hard wire because it is very hard.

1、 Difference between bv wire and rv wire:

2: The rated voltage is different. Generally, the rated voltage of BVR is higher. RV is 300/500V or 450/750V, and BV is 300/500V or 450/750V.

3: The product implementation standards are different. The implementation standards for bv wires are GB/T5023-2008 and rv wires are GB/T5023.3-2008.

4: The application site is different. bv is mainly used in the electrode connection line of household lighting lines, and rv is mainly used in the electrode connection line of household appliances.

5: The price of rv wire will be higher than that of bv wire.

6: The service life is different. The rv copper wire is easy to be oxidized by air, so the service life of the bv hard wire of the transmission line placed on the circuit board for a long time will be longer than that of the rv copper wire.

2、 Similarities between bv wire and rv wire:

BV wire and rv wire are all single core cloth wires, and the insulation layer is made of polyethylene. They have no wire sheath, and the rated voltage is 450/750V and 300/500V.

3、 What are the advantages of bv wire compared with rv wire:

1: Bv wire must be more practical, whether it is wiring or wiring lug. In addition, when making connectors or conducting wiring at connectors, rv, as a copper wire, often produces burrs that are not properly sorted, resulting in short circuit and leakage.

2: The tensile resistance of rv wire is better than that of rv wire.

3: The rv wire is composed of multi-core filaments, and the resistor of each single strand is very large. The rv wire is a single electrical conductor, so in the household circuit, the cable current carrying capacity and temperature resistance of the rv wire are much higher than those of the rv wire.

Bv wires generally use single core hard electric conductor sheath cables, which are applicable to cables and wires commonly used in power stations, electrical products, instrument equipment and communication products with AC current of 450/750V and below. RV cable is widely used in industrial production power distribution equipment industry, especially in strict soft assembly sites, such as electrical cabinets, power distribution cabinets and various low-voltage electrical equipment. It is suitable for transmission of data signals and switch signals of electric power engineering and electrical control system.
